Sewing Washi Stickers | Kamiiso

Notes from The Fox

Miki Tamura's Sewing sheet reads like a love letter to my grandmother's sewing basket. The torn-paper chigiri-e illustrations give each needle and spool a gentle, hand-cut softness, and the gold foil catches just enough light to make the whole sheet feel a little bit magical.

The Sewing sheet is a quiet tribute to the small rituals of mending and making, featuring spools of thread, tiny thimbles, fabric shears, pin cushions, and bolts of patterned cloth. I love how Tamura's work rewards slow looking: the more you study each piece, the more tiny details you notice in the torn edges and the placement of the foil.

Product Details and Specs

Imported from Japan | Studio: Kamiiso / Artist: Miki Tamura
Sheet size: 175 x 90 mm
Material: Japanese washi paper with gold foil accents
Count: 1 sheet of assorted sticker shapes
Finish: Matte washi with pressed foil highlights

How to Use

Peel each piece gently from the backing sheet and place it on paper, envelopes, journal spreads, or planner pages. The washi adhesive is low-tack, so you can lift and reposition stickers shortly after placement before they settle. Use the larger illustrations as focal points and let the smaller motifs fill in around your writing. These are beautiful for framing a journal entry about a slow afternoon at home, decorating a letter to a fellow maker, or adding texture to a craft supply binder. The muted palette pairs especially well with kraft paper and linen-toned journals.

FAQ

Are these stickers repositionable? Yes. The washi paper uses a gentle adhesive that lifts cleanly from most paper surfaces if you reposition within a minute or so. The bond strengthens over time.
Will ink and marker show through? The washi paper is slightly translucent, so writing beneath will show through softly. Many journalers use this to their advantage for layered looks.
Is the foil durable? The foil is pressed into the paper and holds up well to normal handling. Avoid direct water contact and heavy rubbing to keep it crisp.
Is this part of the mix-and-match deal? This item is not part of the buy 5 get 1 free deal, which applies only to Suatelier Design stickers and MT washi tape.
