Notes from The Fox
Kuri-iro means "chestnut" in Japanese, and this stamp pad delivers a warm, rich brown that feels grounded and natural. It is one of the most useful colors in the Iromoyo line because brown works with nearly everything, from autumn layouts to vintage-inspired cards to everyday journal entries. The Shachihata Iromoyo pads have been a favorite of stamp artists and journaling fans in Japan for years, and the quality speaks for itself. The ink goes on clean, dries fast, and holds up beautifully over time. If you are building a set of ink pads for your desk, this warm brown is one you will reach for all the time. It pairs well with nearly every other color in the Iromoyo line.
Product Details and Specs
This Shachihata Iromoyo stamp pad features oil-based pigment ink in the traditional Japanese color Kuri-iro (chestnut brown). The ink is acid-free, fast-drying, lightfast, and water-resistant once dry. The ultra-fine fiber pad surface ensures clean, even ink transfer with minimal pressure. The pad measures 63mm by 40mm. The transparent lid shows the color name, and the flat base lets you stack pads neatly on your desk. Refill ink is available separately.

How to Use
Press your stamp gently onto the pad to pick up ink, then press onto paper for a clean, sharp impression. The oil-based ink dries in about three seconds on most papers, so you can keep working without long pauses. Wipe your stamp with a damp tissue between colors when using multiple pads. These pads work best on paper that soaks up ink well, like card stock, kraft paper, and journal pages. They are not a good fit for glossy or coated paper.
