Notes from The Fox
The Shachihata Iromoyo stamp pads are a beautiful line of ink pads inspired by traditional Japanese colors. Each color in the series takes its name from nature, and Matsubai-iro is no exception. The name translates roughly to "pine needle," and the color is a rich, earthy green with depth and warmth. Shachihata has been making stamp pads since 1925, and the quality of these pads shows that heritage. The ink transfers cleanly, dries fast, and produces sharp results even with detailed stamps. If you love rubber stamping, journaling, or making cards by hand, these pads are a real step up from what you find at most craft stores. The colors in this line are all drawn from the natural world, and each one has a name and a story behind it.
Product Details and Specs
This Shachihata Iromoyo stamp pad features oil-based pigment ink in the traditional Japanese color Matsubai-iro (pine needle green). The ink is acid-free, fast-drying, lightfast, and water-resistant once dry. The pad surface uses ultra-fine fibers that allow clean, even ink transfer with light pressure. The pad measures 63mm by 40mm. The transparent lid is labeled with the color name, and the base is designed so pads can be stacked for neat storage. Ink refills are available separately.

How to Use
Press your rubber stamp, clear stamp, or eraser stamp gently onto the pad surface to pick up ink, then press onto paper. The ultra-fine pad surface ensures even coverage without pulling too much ink onto your stamp. For multi-color work, wipe your stamp with a damp tissue between colors. The fast-drying ink means you can layer colors and continue working without long waits. These pads work best on paper that soaks up ink well. They are not ideal for glossy or coated pages. Try them in your journal, on card stock, or on kraft paper for the best results.
