Iromoyo Stamp Pad Mizu-iro (Light Blue) | Shachihata

Notes from The Fox
Mizu-iro is one of the most iconic traditional Japanese colors. The name simply means "water color," and it describes a soft, clear light blue that feels calm and fresh. It is the kind of blue you see in old woodblock prints and traditional textiles, and it translates beautifully to stamp art and journaling. The Shachihata Iromoyo pad in this shade produces clean, even impressions with a gentle tone that works well on its own or layered with other colors. If your stamp pad set is heavy on warm tones and browns, this cool light blue adds a refreshing balance and opens up new color combos you might not have tried.

How to Use
Press your stamp onto the pad and then onto paper for a clean, light blue impression. This color works well for sky and water themes, winter layouts, and any project where you want a cool, calming accent. Layer it with darker blues or pair it with warm tones like Kuri-iro (chestnut) for contrast. The ink dries fast and does not smudge, so you can keep building your layout without waiting. Best results on paper that soaks up ink well, like card stock or journal pages. Not ideal for glossy or coated surfaces.
